The very nature of the song, artist, beat, rhythm, melody, or any other feature of a selection of music can make us more eager to start dictating our journey with our right foot.

Anything by Childish Gambino, but particularly 'Freaks and Geeks', and particularly through traffic.

both heavy metal, for when i'm feeling angsty, and dubstep for when i'm just in the driving mood. Dubstep with a unique and interesting beat/sound is actually in my opinion the best driving music.

I hardly ever listen to music in the car unless the girlfriend is along for the ride. I like listening to the engine. Stay connected, people.

Ministry, NIN, Skinny Puppy... hell, I could list a hundred bands... but the song above sums it all up. (for clarification, the song above is So What by Ministry).

this, and most things from them. I've been in a Chevelle mood the past week. It helps get you pumped, despite the shitty winter weather.

I try not to listen to music because it causes me to tunnel too much. I tried listening to music on my Ninja a few months back and set a new record for taking the side roads home... which is not a good thing. I was hitting far more lean than I should have been for the conditions and running all season tires. I think that time it was System of a Down and Korn that was coming on through my Pandora...

All the music. Music in general gets me excited. I definitely drive more aggressively listening to anything up-tempo really. It kind of depends on my mood.

Back in the fall, before it was shitty outside, I was driving through a great series of twisty highways and was listening to these two songs as I was going through the best part of it:

It was like being in heaven.

After a few minutes I really don't feel like listening to a Honda V6 at 2000 RPM anymore.

This makes me want to visit neighbouring Germany at night, and get me some unrestricted Autobahn. Electronic dance music:

And Rammstein? Nope. No. Non. Nee. Nay. Nein ! I really must resist WOT when I hear some of their stuff.

This is what I was listening to the one time I got pulled for speeding 75 in a 45. Then I got off because the cop got called to a domestic disturbance...

Basically, that opening bassline just begs for pedal to meet metal, and briskly.

While their stuff is excellent, I mean it's no surprise really why BBC's Top Gear features music from Hybrid on several occasions, it doesn't trigger excessive speed in me.

The absence of music makes me drive faster. When I'm playing music in the car, I'm cruising. But when all I hear is the motor, I'm about the drive.

I turn my music down or off when I know I'll be doing some accelerating. Which I'll be doing even more after I get my catless downpipes installed.

But my engine moseying along at 1700rpm at highway speeds isn't all that interesting.

I love how DJ's do everything they can to look interesting standing behind their computers/equalizers/thingies, but it really never makes me go "that's awesome", luckily they have nice looking dancers most of the time.

Sometimes they don't though, went to a big trance night in London and one of the DJs of the night just stood behind the decks doing nothing, that made me get an extra drink ;-)

Most of the stuff from the Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep labels can make me drive a bit too fast, especially the club mixes :-)

I got my last ticket listening to "Morning has Broken" by Cat Stevens... As for songs that make me drive faster than I should: "Highway Unicorn" by Lady Gaga is one, as is "La Nuova Forza" by Blocco Mentale.

I think my playlists are getting weird, even for Oppo...

I know songs that make me drive faster, I know songs that make me drive slower... This song makes me drive like a complete hoonigan. It gets better now that I've listened to it more often, but still it makes want to put my foot all the way down...

I can't listen to Morning has broken while driving fast or at least I try not to, because the only thing I can think about is how epic this song would be during a slow-mo rollover and I don't want to think about that while driving.
